Claudia Rojas is a poeta and community advocate. She was born in El Salvador, raised in the Washington, DC area, and lives in Falls Church, VA. As educator, Claudia has taught reading and creative writing to children and young adults in academic, camp, and community settings. She was 2019 Split This Rock’s Youth Programs Fellow. She is currently the Communications Associate for New Virginia Majority, where she secures press coverage and public awareness on social justice issues.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s in English from George Mason University.
  • Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from University of Maryland.
